Mobilizing Assets to Transform Community Health (M.A.T.C.H.)
After 10+ years of service partnering with underserved communities in Richmond, the VCU CoHD is in a unique position. Having demonstrated success in collaboratively working with communities to identify strengths and areas for enhancement through engagement and empowerment, the CoHD has facilitated meaningful matches among community and university partners. The resulting model of delivery honors collaboration of all participating partners in encouragement of respect and mutual benefit.
The Mobilizing Assets to Transform Community Health (M.A.T.C.H.) Program works collaboratively to identify community strengths and areas for enhancement, connect academic and service representatives with engaged communities, facilitate and conduct research, develop interventions, provide training, and exchange information that will increase the university-community capacity to reduce health disparities.
